Who are we?

Data Yarns was created by Dr Evangelia Berdou in 2017. The company operates in the space between social science, data science and program evaluation to help individuals and organisations understand what they do to support planning and positive social and behaviour change.

Evangelia, holds a PhD in Media and Communications from the London School of Economics and Social Science and has over 15 years of research experience. For Evangelia's CV click here.

Data Yarns adapts cutting-edge data collection, analysis and communication tools to the needs of its clients and the social, cultural and economic realities in which they and their stakeholders operate.

Data Yarns advocates the transformational potential of contextualised data and the idea that international development organisations can do and should do more to listen to, make sense of and communicate the voices of those whom they ultimately wish to serve.

This website provides a space to showcase Data Yarns collaborations, reflect on aspects of consultancies for which they little space in official outputs, and explore new topics and connections.
